For Runpod users on Mac
Your pods, at a glance. Right in the menu bar.
Podwatch shows your Runpod pods' GPU use, cost and uptime in the Mac menu bar and a desktop widget, and tells you before your balance runs out. No more keeping the console open in a tab.

How it works
Paste a key once.
Then stop checking the console.
-
Get Podwatch
Download it from the Mac App Store. It lives in the menu bar, so it has no window and no Dock icon.
-
Paste a read-only key
Click Podwatch in the menu bar and paste a Runpod API key. Read-only is enough: Podwatch can see your pods, but it can't start, stop or change anything. How to make one.
-
Glance up
Your pods' stats appear in the menu bar and refresh every 15 seconds. Click a running pod to show only that one, and add the widget to your desktop.

-
The stats you choose
Pick what shows in the menu bar, the popover and the widget: pod name, GPU and VRAM use, cost per hour, uptime, total spend and balance.
-
A warning before $0
Runpod stops your pods when the balance runs out. When less than two hours are left at the current rate, the badge turns amber and tells you how long you have.

A widget for your desktop
Small and medium widgets show your main pod, or two at once, with the same stats. They keep counting uptime and spend between updates.
Privacy
Your key stays on your Mac.
Podwatch talks to Runpod and nothing else. The API key you paste in is saved in your Mac's keychain, and there's no account, no analytics and no server of ours in between.

- Your key
- You paste it once. Podwatch saves it in your Mac's keychain, where macOS keeps your passwords. A read-only key is enough.
- Network
- Only api.runpod.io, about four small requests a minute.
- Account
- None. No sign-up, no email, no tracking.
- Control
- Read-only. Podwatch never starts, stops or changes a pod.
- Sandboxed
- Runs in Apple's app sandbox, which lets it reach the network and nothing else on your Mac.
- Data collected
- None. The App Store listing says "Data Not Collected".
Questions
Questions people ask.
Is Podwatch made by Runpod?
No. Podwatch is an independent app and isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Runpod. It uses Runpod's public API with your own key.
How much does it cost?
£2.99 once, with no subscription. Runpod doesn't charge for API requests, so checking every 15 seconds costs you nothing extra.
Can I try it without a Runpod account?
Yes. Click "Try with example pods" in the popover to see the menu bar, popover and widget with example data.
Can it stop a pod for me?
No, on purpose. Stopping a pod can delete data that isn't on a volume, so Podwatch stays read-only. The ↗ on each pod opens it in the Runpod console.
Why is "Total spend" lower than my bill?
It's what your running pods have cost since they last started. Storage and earlier runs aren't included.
